Wedding on a Boat

Mahara and Joyce – Love Really Conquers All!

The sands of time often erode a loving relationship despite the promise to stand by each other for all of eternity. But some couples determinedly weather the storm and come out stronger than before. Mahara and Joyce are among them – the love, trust, and respect for each other hasn’t waned even after a decade of tying the knot.

A decade of joy and more to come…

Wedding in a BoatWedding PhotographerWedding in a Boat To celebrate 10 years of togetherness, the couple decided to renew their vows on Lake Michigan.

Wedding in a BoatWedding PhotographerWedding in a Boat I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding and am really fortunate and thankful that they thought of me during this very special occasion. The view from the boat was spectacular, while the weather cooperated as well.

And it begins…again!

Wedding in a BoatWedding PhotographerWedding in a Boat Joyce looked as gorgeous as she did at the time of her wedding. Her gown, hairdo, and accessories were perfect. Her father proudly stood next to her – the prospect of walking her down the aisle and “giving his little girl away” made him teary-eyed once again.

Picture time followed by reception

The family posed for quite a few photographs – my favorite remains the portrait of the bride with her children! The groom’s parents, his brother and wife, the bride’s sisters, her father, and close friends happily posed for me, so I got some amazing clicks.

Wedding in a BoatWedding PhotographerWedding in a Boat Even the officiating pastor and his wife indulged the request for a few pictures.

Mahara stayed in his white tux, while Joyce opted to trade her wedding gown for a stunning gold colored dress embellished with sequins.

Dance the night away!

Now comes the fun part – after the cake eating tradition, it was time to jive and boogie!

The event was concluded by another pastor who thanked everyone for attending the wedding.
