You can’t get more perfect than Jona and Jonas – the names brilliantly portray that this couple was really made for each other. The moment I heard it I knew that this wedding would be one of my favorites!
Although Chicago gets pretty warm during summer, it didn’t deter true love.
The bride looked exquisite in a beautiful strapless gown with glittery embellishments adorning the white dress – it was stunning. She paired it with danglers and a lovely necklace, while the veil offered a great finishing touch.
The bridesmaids were no less – they rocked their lavender and pink gowns; they all looked so beautiful in every picture that I clicked.
The bride’s daughter – she not only looked amazing but was all smiles as she helps her mother get ready for the big day.
Doesn’t she look incredible being escorted down the aisle by a groomsman?
And how could I miss the mini versions of the bride and groom? Jahmel here is walking with a cute little girl – both are looking endearing and confidently pose for their pictures.
Jona and Jonas adoringly look at each other as they stand beneath the gazebo as they prepare to say their vows.
I look forward to click this moment every time – you can see the love radiating off the couple while the minister officiates the ceremony. Jonas looks extremely handsome wearing the black tux as he says his “I do”.
The couple smilingly becomes man and wife minutes later. I thought of doing these images alternatively in color and black & white, as I felt it would be an interesting juxtaposition.
After a few poses and candids, it was time for the fun to get started.
The couple cut the multiple-tier enticing white cake...
and fed it to each other – it was a very joyful moment indeed.
Look at them laughing and giggling, while sneaking in a few kisses!
Jonas playfully lifted up Jona’s gown to throw the garter to his groomsmen...
but the bridesmaids were clearly more eager to grab the bridal bouquet. She threw it high in the air and one of them enthusiastically caught it – just look at her triumphant expression after succeeding in her endeavor. I had a ball photographing this wedding.
